Rhythm & Ritual – A Yoga + Surf Retreat
Yoga Retreat in El Salvador at Mizata
February 7th-12th, 2027
Rhythm & Ritual is a week of moving with the ocean and returning to yourself.
Each morning begins with yoga — salt on your skin, the sun lifting over the Pacific, the steady rhythm of breath and movement welcoming the day. Some mornings we’ll paddle out for optional surf sessions, guided by ISA-certified instructors, where the ocean becomes both playground and teacher.
Days unfold with a balance of movement, rest, and adventure. We’ll chase waterfalls through the lush jungle of Tamanique, swim beneath cascading falls, and watch the sunset over the surf town of El Tunco. We’ll experience the ancient purification ritual of a traditional Temazcal ceremony, guided by a Mayan chaman, releasing what’s been held and emerging renewed.
Evenings bring us back together for workshops, yin, meditation, and yoga nidra — spaces to soften, integrate, and recalibrate the nervous system.
Surf becomes rhythm.
Yoga becomes ritual.
And both become teachers.
Between sessions, you’ll be held by the wild luxury of Mizata. Cold plunges to awaken the senses, saunas to soften what’s been held too long, oceanfront pools, jungle hammocks, and a full-service spa for deep restoration. The Pacific is always just steps away — boards waiting, waves rolling in, and the invitation to play.
Our days are nourished by vibrant coastal cuisine crafted with fresh, local ingredients. Meals are shared overlooking the ocean, culminating in a special omakase dining experience on our final evening — a celebration of the week, the journey, and the community we’ve created together.
This retreat is about flow — on the mat, in the water, and within yourself. It’s about expansion, courage, and presence.
You’ll move. You’ll rest. You’ll adventure. You’ll reset.
You’ll leave with new rituals, deeper connection, and a rhythm that stays with you long after the waves fade behind you.
