Heradsskolinn is a charming guesthouse located in a historical old school building at Laugarvatn Lake. Located right in the heart of the Golden Circle, surrounded by rolling hills with with Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall and Geyser close by. Laugarvatn is known for great visibility for northern lights in the wintertime and absolutely amazing nature sites. 60 minutes from Reykjavik capital and 90 minutes from Keflavik International Airport, the town is an intersection of natural beauty and historical importance

Sunrise Slow Flow
Join Jenny in our morning Gentle Morning Flow Yoga Class, a beautiful blend of mindful movements, breathwork, and meditation. This class is designed to invigorate your body and expand your awareness with the gentle embrace of the early day.
Jenny will lead you through a sequence of deliberate, flowing postures that harmonize with your breath, enabling you to move with grace and intention. Each movement invites you to explore your body’s potential and deepen your connection with the present moment.
Often referred to as ‘conscious sleep,’ Yoga Nidra is a restorative meditation practice renowned for its profound ability to rejuvenate both body and mind. It serves as an invaluable remedy for sleep deprivation, allowing practitioners to access brainwave patterns associated with the ‘rest and digest’ phase of nourishment.
During Yoga Nidra, attention is delicately directed to the breath and systematically guided through the body, effortlessly inducing a state of non-doing. This practice is commonly undertaken in a reclined position, where meditators may experience various states, including drifting into sleep, a gentle de-focus, or allowing attention to naturally ebb and flow.
Transcending Limiting Beliefs Workshop
This transformative meditation Workshop will guide you on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment by systematically addressing an old limiting belief and embracing a new empowering ones. Through breathwork and visualization, you are encouraged to connect with the boundless expanse of infinite space, liberating yourself from past constraints and awakening to the possibilities of your limitless future. Your beliefs exert a significant influence on your life, and the longer you hold onto them, the deeper their impact. Meditation serves as a potent tool for transcending limiting beliefs by rewiring years of subconscious mental conditioning, allowing you to transcend the constraints of your body and environment while reprogramming your thought patterns. Furthermore, when you transcend the constraints of space and time, you gain access to a harmonious state of consciousness where novel beliefs can materialize and instantaneously become reality. In this elevated state, you can then reintegrate this newfound truth into your current physical being. This practice enables you to differentiate between restrictive, stagnant beliefs and expansive, growth-oriented ones, underscoring the importance of selecting positive beliefs to cultivate a happier and more fulfilling life.

DAY 1 ARRIVE + BLUE LAGOON:
Upon landing at Keflavík International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your retreat hosts Daniela & Jenny and promptly transported to the tranquil haven of the Blue Lagoon Spa, where you can unwind and rejuvenate following your journey.
After a few hours of relaxation and making new friends, we’ll make our way to our retreat center. Here, we’ll come together for a warm welcome circle, allowing us to set our intentions. This will be followed by a gentle, slow flowing yoga session designed to release tension from travel. We’ll end the night with a delightful dinner and a restful night’s sleep. Before bedtime you might be able to catch a glimps of the Northern Lights!
DAY 2 GROUNDING + STEAM VALLEY:
The start of our initial full day together commences with a grounding meditation and a session of mindful movement.
Following a wholesome breakfast, we’ll set out on a morning trek through Reykjadalur Valley, aptly named the Steam Valley, a name that will become evident as the valley unfolds during our hike. Here, you’ll encounter Iceland’s renowned hot springs, bubbling mud pools, and even the opportunity to bathe in a warm river!
In the late afternoon, we’ll gather for the first in a series of workshops led by Jenny. This will be followed by dinner, setting the stage for a restful night’s sleep to prepare us for tomorrow’s adventure.
DAY 3 GOLDEN CIRCLE TOUR:
After Yoga and Meditation, the adventure begins!
Our Golden Circle Tour embarks on a captivating circular voyage through the core of Iceland’s Southern Region, pausing at some of the nation’s most iconic destinations. Our journey begins with a leisurely walk through Thingvellir National Park, followed by visits to the Geysir Geothermal area, Gullfoss Waterfall, and a special pause at one of our cherished locations: the remarkable Kerid Crater.
DAY 4 RELAXATION + BATHING RITUAL:
Today, you have the opportunity to unwind right here at our retreat! After your morning movement and meditation, take the day to acquaint yourself with the picturesque Icelandic landscape that surrounds us. Hike through the serene rolling hills in our backyard, enjoy a leisurely lakeside walk, exchange greetings with some of our friendly animal neighbors, or simply kick back and journal in one of the charming corners of our property.
In the afternoon, we’ll reconvene for our second workshop, followed by a relaxing visit to the Laugarvatn Fontana spa next door. We’ll enjoy a traditional Icelandic bathing ritual and for those feeling adventurous, there’s even a chance to take a cold plunge in the lake!
DAY 5 CHASING WATERFALLS:
Following our morning meditation and movement, we’ll embark on an adventure along the captivating South Shore, making stops at Reynisfjara’s stunning black sand beach, the breathtaking Dyrholaey headland, and visits to both Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss Waterfalls. Be ready to be wow’d by the sheer magnitude of these extraordinary natural marvels.
Upon our return to our retreat center, we’ll conduct our last workshop with Jenny, followed by our last dinner and a closing ceremony to share gratitude for our experience together.
